The first half from this game was a total domination by Arsenal but in the end they had to hold on for the Victory with Everton having a goal disallowed (incorrectly too) and then pushing to equalise. However Arsenal defended well and held onto their lead, a lead which should have been more than just the one goal judging the first half display. In the first half Arsenal’s accurate passes were more than double the TOTAL passes of Everton such was the dominance. However as you can see from above Everton improved slightly in the second half as Arsenal had more than 70% possession in the first half and Everton managed to knock off 10% off of that in the second.
Arsenal now have six wins out of six and are at the top of the form guide (which can be found in our sidebar) and have also moved into third place in the Premier League table, leap-frogging North London rivals, Spurs.
