Points Won against teams in the top and bottom half of the table
Finally we take a look at which teams have taken the most points per game against the teams from the top and bottom halves of the table.
Manchester United have taken the most points per match against the top half teams this season (2.09), while Chelsea (1.91), Manchester City (1.82), Everton (1.4) and Tottenham (1.2) have all taken a high amount of points per game against the top half teams.
Wigan and Southampton (0.42) have taken the fewest points per game against the top half teams this season, while Liverpool (0.45), QPR (0.46) and West Ham (0.55) have all struggled to pick up points against the top half teams this season.
Next we take a look at which teams have taken the most points against the bottom half teams this season.
Manchester United have picked up the most points per game against the bottom half teams this season, as they have picked up 2.75 points per game. Manchester City have taken 2.58 points, Liverpool have taken 2.42 points, Tottenham have taken 2.23 points and Arsenal have taken 2.08 points per game against the bottom half teams this season.
Aston Villa and QPR have taken the fewest points per game against the bottom half teams this season, as they have only picked up 0.9 points per game. Reading (1), Norwich (1.09), Newcastle (1.18) and Wigan (1.27) have all struggled to pick up points against the bottom half teams this season.
Norwich are the only team to take more points per game against the top half teams than they have against the bottom half teams this season, as they have taken 0.08 points per game more.
Liverpool have taken a staggering 1.97 points per game more against the bottom half teams than they have against the top half teams this season, while Arsenal have taken 0.99 more points per game against the bottom half teams than they have against the top half teams this season. Sunderland (1.33), West Ham (1.2) and Southampton (1.2) have also taken a lot more points per game against the bottom half teams than they have against the top half teams this season.
Aston Villa have taken 55% of their points against the top half teams this season, while Norwich (54%), Stoke (48%), Chelsea (47%) and Reading (47%) have all taken a high percentage of their points against the top half teams this season.
However, Liverpool have only taken 15% of their points against top half teams this season, while West Ham (22%), Southampton (22%) and Sunderland (25%) have all taken a small percentage of their points from the top half teams this season.
